History Originally founded in London in 1918, Mechetronics have been making solenoids for over 60 years. Having been owned by a number of companies including Warner Electric, the name Mechetronics was created in 1994.
Current Day Head quartered in a 27,000ft² facility in Co Durham, Mechetronics are the UK’s largest solenoid business employing almost 100 people. Being a privately owned business Mechetronics has the freedom to make fast decisions in your best interests.
Solenoid Technology Solenoids are engineered products and are almost always bespoke technical solutions to specific needs. That’s why we have engineering teams based in China, Hong Kong, India, Germany, Italy and the UK focussed on solving your design requirements.
Service and Logistics What sets Mechetronics apart in the solenoid world is its unique blend of global manufacturing with local service. In addition to engineers in India, China and the UK, Mechetronics has local solenoid inventory management in France, Germany, Italy, China, India, USA and of course the UK. Global Manufacturing-China Mechetronics (Zhuhai) Solenoid Co Ltd, the Chinese manufacturing facility of Mechetronics opened in 2007 and is producing solenoids for global blue chip companies and supplying them direct to site across the world. With over 10 years experience of transferring manufacturing of both simple and complex solenoids and assemblies to China Mechetronics is well placed to help whatever your needs.
Local Manufacturing Whether you need 100’s or 100,000’s of solenoids you’ll get the same level of technical service and support from Mechetronics. Medium volume users of solenoids feel the push to standard Chinese made products is a disadvantaging them - not with Mechetronics. With specialist European manufacturing facilities in the UK, Germany and Italy we supply hydraulic, proportional and specialist solenoids along with holding magnets and linear actuators in addition to the largest range of linear solenoids.
